Terms and Conditions of The East Club Membership Scheme
 
Register as member of The East Club, by using The East App (“the App")/ The East Website (“Website”), entering the requiredinformation, you are now The East Club member (“Member") and are deemed to accept the Terms and Conditions below and are bound by them.
  1. Membership and bonus points are not transferrable.
  2. Members are obliged to provide The East with valid email address for communication, The East is not responsible for any undelivered email.
  3. Each applicant can only apply for membership for once and each member can only hold one The East membership account.
  4. After successful registration, if members require changing their name or birthday month, they must visit the Customer Service Centre, 3/F, Hopewell Centre in person with the respective supporting documents to update such personal information and application form.
  5. Members should keep their membership name, numbers, passwords and email addresses strictly confidential and secure. Members are fully responsible for any use of their accounts by any other person (including any third parties, whether used with or without the member's authorization).
  6. Staffs shall have the right to request members to present a valid identification document in order to verify the member data shown on the members' mobile phone.
  7. About the Reward of Bonus Point:
    1. To earn bonus points, members are required to present same-day machine-printed invoices of merchants in Hopewell Centre, QRE Plaza, Wu Chung House and GARDENEast (Generally called The East), and corresponding electronic payment slip or payment transaction in mobile (by EPS, Credit Card, Octopus card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, WeChat Pay, Alipay, Tap & Go, BoC Pay and UnionPay) together with their e-membership card(i.e. QR code) through The East App at our Customer Services Centre. Only spending receipts of $100 or above are eligible to earn bonus points.
    2. Receipts from bank charges, telecommunications services, purchase of cash vouchers/gift vouchers/gift cards/cake voucher/point cards, member cards/any gift redemption vouchers/value-adding stored-value cards or any value-adding receipts from any shops or restaurants are NOT eligible. Besides, receipts of use of cash vouchers/gift vouchers/gift cards/cake voucher/credit card or any mobile wallet rebate (including Cash Dollars)/The East cash coupons/ any gift redemption vouchers from any shops or restaurants are NOT accepted. Cash payment, ATM receipts, handwritten receipts will not be accepted. Any spending by credit card rebate (including Cash Dollars)or tips towards any spending or purchases also cannot earn points.The name printed on the e-payment receipts must be the same as that printed on the e-membership card. Photocopies of any receipts or receipts that are not registered on the day of purchase are regarded as invalid.
    3. Members are entitled to earn 1 point for every HK$1 spend at The East, spending on decimals will be rounded off to the nearest dollars. A maximum of 5,000 points can be rewarded per transaction. A maximum of 2 transactions are allowed each day, meaning each member can earn a maximum of 10,000 points each day.
    4. When redeeming bonus points, the original merchant’s receipts and e-payment receipts will be stamped and maybe photo-copied for record. HREA reserves the rights to reject bonus points redemption if no valid receipts nor the e-membership card through The East App can be presented.
    5. HREA reserves the right to make verifications and adjustments on the records of member bonus points from time to time, in case of any problematic cases.
    6. All accumulated bonus points will be forfeited after 24:00 of 31st December of each year.
  8. About the Gifts / Cash Coupons:
    1. Gifts / Vouchers can be redeemed by using the requisite bonus points accumulated in the same membership account. All points are valid until 31st December each year and will be automatically cleared afterwards.
    2. Members must present their e-membership card (i.e.QR code) through The East App upon redemption of gifts / vouchers at Customer Services Centre.
    3. All gifts / cash coupons cannot be exchanged for cash. Terms and conditions defined by service / goods providers are applied to the use of vouchers. HREA is not the supplier of the merchandises and shall not be liable for any loss of the members in case the merchants refuse to accept the cash coupons.
    4. HREA is not responsible for any loss, damage or stolen of any redeemed cash coupons, vouchers or gifts.
    5. In case the designated gifts / vouchers have run out of stock, HREA reserves the right to provide substitutes with comparable value without prior notice.
    6. No change, cancellation and refund are allowed after the redemption is made. Deducted bonus points cannot be re-credited to the membership cards.
    7. Please present The East Club e-membership card (i.e. QR code) through The East App and acknowledge receipt upon gifts or coupons redemption.
  9. Termination of Membership:
    1. HREA shall have the right, by written notice to a Member’s email address, to terminate his/her membership with The East Club with immediate effect if he/she
      1. registers or has registered points with counterfeit receipts or receipts stolen from another person. Membership and accumulated points of such Member will be forfeited immediately and no reward redemption will be allowed. HREA or The East Club shall have the right to request such Member to return all redeemed rewards and lodge a claim against such Member for any loss or damage suffered by HREA or The East Club;
      2. obtains or has obtained membership or points or member’s privileges with dishonesty using information or transactions made in the account of another Member or if HREA or The East Club has reasons to believe that such Member breaches or has breached any relevant terms and conditions. HREA or The East Club shall have the right to lodge a claim against such Member for any loss or damage suffered by HREA or The East Club or participating merchants arising from his/her misconduct;
      3. acts or has acted in such a manner, by conduct or language, which HREA has reasons to believe, is inappropriate, insulting or hostile to any of the staff of HREA or The East Club;
      4. engages or has engaged in any conduct or plan of buying or selling The East Club points or membership without explicit permission from HREA;
      5. behaves or has behaved in any manner injurious to HREA or The East Club or contrary to the interests of HREA or The East Club; or
      6. has passed away.
    2. A Member whose membership has been terminated by HREA shall immediately cease to have any right, benefit or privilege of the membership.
    3. In general, The East Club will not accept any application for membership by a former Member whose membership had been terminated by HREA.
  10. Staff of The East tenants and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this membership program.
  11. HREA reserves the right to amend or terminate The East Club Membership Scheme or to amend any promotional plans or any of these terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice.
  12. Should there be any disputes, HREA reserves the final right of decision.
